  73. This package contains the EDGE Diagrammer v2.00<ASP> flowcharting and
  74. diagramming program for Windows by Pacestar Software.  This
  75. document contains only a brief description of the package and its
  76. features, along with instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed
  77. documentation is included in the package, but it is in archived form, and
  78. is more easily read after installation.

  80. EDGE Diagrammer is a powerful feature-rich flowcharting and diagramming
  81. tool.  It allows you to create custom shapes and arrows, and create
  82. your own styles similar to paragraph style in word processors.  You
  83. can combine your styles into templates of your own.  We've included
  84. some templates such as our flowcharting template.  It comes with over
  85. 100 predefined shapes and arrows but also includes a built-in macro
  86. language for creating your own.  You can also import graphics to use
  87. in your diagrams.  You can copy your diagrams into other programs like
  88. Word for Windows.  It also contains full pan/zoom, snap grid, and full
  89. on-screen editing.  V2 supports OLE2, bitmaps, scaling, and orthogonal
  90. connectors.

  92. EDGE Diagrammer is a shareware program.  This evaluation version includes
  93. all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may
  94. use it for up to 30 days, without charge (see on-line help for more
  95. details).  If you like the program, and wish to continue its use after
  96. this evaluation period, you are required to pay for the program (see
  97. online help for more details).  Any fee you may have paid to others
  98. (disk vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain this evaluation version was a
  99. fee for their copying and distribution services, rather than a payment

  134. 1) Create a new directory on your disk drive.
  135. 2) Copy the file EDGWIN.ZIP to your new directory.
  136. 3) Run PKUNZIP or UNZIP (available from on-line services) to
  137.    uncompress the program files into the directory that you created.
  138. 4) Run Windows.  Use the File Manager or Program Manager to run
  139.    SETUP.EXE from the directory you created.

  159. This Limited Use Software License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal
  160. agreement between you, the end-user, and Pacestar Software.
  161. By continuing the installation of this program, by loading or running
  162. the tool, or by placing or copying the program onto your computer
  163. hard drive, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

  166. PACESTAR SOFTWARE LICENSE

  168.      1.   Grant of License.  Pacestar grants to you the right to use the
  169. the shareware version of the Pacestar Software program (the "Software").
  170. For purposes of this section, "use" means loading the Software into RAM,
  171. as well as installation on a hard disk or other storage  device.
  172. You may not:  modify, translate, disassemble, decompile, reverse
  173. engineer, or create derivative works based upon the Software.  You agree
  174. that the Software will not be shipped, transferred or exported into any
  175. country in violation of the U.S. Export Administration Act and that you
  176. will not utilize, in any other manner, the Software in violation of any
  177. applicable law.

  179.      2.   Copyright.  The Software is owned by Pacestar and is protected
  180. by United States copyright laws and international treaty provisions.
  181. You must treat the Software like any other copyrighted material, except
  182. that you may make copies of the Software to give to other persons.
  183. You may not charge or receive any consideration from any other person
  184. for the receipt or use of the Software without receiving Pacestar's prior
  185. written consent as specified in the VENDOR.DOC file.  You agree to use
  186. your best efforts to see that any user of the Software licensed
  187. hereunder complies with this Agreement.

  189.      3.   Limited Warranty.  Pacestar warrants that if properly
  190. installed and operated on a computer for which it is designed, the
  191. Software will perform substantially in accordance with its designed
  192. purpose for a period of ninety (90) days from the date the Software is
  193. first obtained by an end-user. Pacestar's entire liability and your
  194. exclusive remedy shall be, at  Pacestar's option, either (a) return of
  195. the retail price paid, if any, or (b) repair or replacement of the
  196. Software that does not meet Pacestar's Limited Warranty. To make a
  197. warranty claim, return the Software to the point of purchase, accompanied
  198. by proof of purchase, your name, your address, and a statement of defect,
  199. or return the Software with the above information to Pacestar.
  200. This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the Software has resulted in
  201. whole or in part from accident, abuse, misapplication or violation of
  202. this Agreement.  Any replacement Software will be warranted for the
  203. remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days, whichever
  204. is longer. This warranty allocates risks of product failure between
  205. Licensee and Pacestar.  Pacestar's product pricing reflects this
  206. allocation of risk and the limitations of liability contained in this
  207. warranty.

  209.      4.   NO OTHER WARRANTIES.  PACESTAR DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,
  210. EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED
  211. WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH
  212. RESPECT TO THE SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING WRITTEN MATERIALS, IF ANY.
  213. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS.  YOU MAY HAVE

  224.      5.   Exclusive Remedies.  You agree that your exclusive remedy
  225. against Pacestar, its affiliates, contractors, suppliers, and agents for
  226. loss or damage caused by any defect or failure in the Software regardless
  227. of the form of action, whether in contract, tort, including negligence,
  228. strict liability or otherwise, shall be the return of the retail
  229. purchase price paid, if any, or replacement of the Software.   This
  230. Agreement shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws
  231. of the State of Arizona.  Copyright and other proprietary matters will be
  232. governed by United States laws and international treaties.  IN ANY CASE,
  233. PACESTAR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOST
  234. SAVINGS, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT OR OTHER SIMILAR
  235. DAMAGES ARISING FROM BREACH OF WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE,
  236. OR OTHER LEGAL THEORY EVEN IF PACESTAR OR ITS AGENT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF
  237. THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY OTHER PARTY.
  238. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
  239. incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or
  240. exclusion may not apply to you.

  242.      6.   General Provisions.  Neither this Agreement nor any part or
  243. portion hereof shall be assigned or sublicensed, except as described
  244. herein. Should any provision of this Agreement be held to be void,
  245. invalid, unenforceable or illegal by a court, the validity and
  246. enforceability of the other provisions shall not be affected thereby.  If
  247. any provision is determined to be unenforceable, you agree to a
  248. modification of such provision to provide for enforcement of the
  249. provision's intent, to the extent permitted by applicable law.  Failure
  250. of a party to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not
  251. constitute or be construed as a waiver of such provision or of the right
  252. to enforce such provision.  If you fail to comply with any terms of this
  253. Agreement, YOUR LICENSE IS AUTOMATICALLY TERMINATED.
